The modular labeling machine — hot melt configuration — is a fully automatic OPP roll-fed hot melt labeling machine: it wraps reel-fed OPP film, pearl film and paper-plastic composite labels around bottles and bonds them with glue applied only to the label ends. Eco-friendly hot melt glue is applied only to the leading and trailing edges of each label, cutting glue consumption against full-surface gluing, and non-shrink labels keep printed patterns undeformed without a heat shrink tunnel. It delivers 58,000 bottles per hour with ±1mm accuracy and 150 m/min dispensing, labeling round and square bottles made of plastic, metal and glass — from 5-gallon water bottles and oil jugs to mineral water and detergent bottles — for the washing, beverage, mineral water and food industries. As the hot melt member of the U-Packer modular labeling machine family, it is the modular successor to the rotary OPP hot melt labelers and shares one platform with the self-adhesive module and the dual-mode combination machine. Also known as a BOPP labeling machine in South Asian markets, it applies the same roll-fed OPP and BOPP films that buyers specify under either name.
- Suitable for labeling various OPP, pearl film, composite paper and other roll-fed materials in washing, beverages, mineral water, food and other industries.
- Due to the use of non-shrink label materials, the printed pattern on the label will not deform after labeling, ensuring the aesthetic appeal of the product packaging.
- The fully automated high-speed labeling production process replaces the inefficient manual labeling method, improves production efficiency, and thus enhances the market competitiveness of products.
- Adopting advanced gluing technology combined with environmentally friendly hot melt adhesive to achieve perfect gluing and labeling effects; glue is applied only at the beginning and end of the label, minimizing glue consumption and saving costs.
- The use of new environmentally friendly roll-fed materials such as OPP, pearl film and composite paper minimizes production costs; adopting eco-friendly packaging materials is a trend in the development of the packaging industry.
- Part of the modular labeling machine platform: compare all configurations in the selection guide.
- Running a mid-capacity line? The rotary round bottle hot melt labeling machine covers 6,000–36,000 bph with the same hot melt gluing and ±1mm accuracy.

A hot melt labeling machine applies wrap-around roll-fed labels — OPP film, pearl film or paper-plastic composite — using molten thermoplastic adhesive applied only to the two ends of the label, so glue use stays low and no heat shrink tunnel is needed. The modular hot melt configuration labels 58,000 round or square plastic, metal and glass bottles per hour at ±1mm accuracy, with glue at 120–160 °C. It is the modern, modular successor to rotary OPP hot melt labelers for beverage, mineral water, washing and food lines, and combines with the self-adhesive module when one line needs both label types.
BOPP stands for biaxially oriented polypropylene, the stretched polypropylene film used for roll-fed wrap-around labels. In the labeling industry an OPP labeling machine and a BOPP labeling machine are the same machine type — BOPP is simply the term buyers in South Asian markets such as India use most. This modular hot melt machine applies OPP/BOPP film wrap-around labels at up to 58,000 bottles per hour, with hot melt glue applied only at the two ends of each label.
An OPP labeling machine is an automatic labeler that wraps reel-fed OPP film labels around bottles, jars and jugs and bonds them with hot melt glue applied only to the leading and trailing edges of each label. OPP (oriented polypropylene) is the stretch-resistant film used for full-wrap beverage, water and detergent labels, so an OPP labeling machine is the same machine family as a roll-fed hot melt labeling machine — BOPP is simply the South Asian term for the same film. U-Packer builds two generations: the modular platform running up to 58,000 bottles per hour at ±1mm accuracy, and rotary round-bottle models covering 6,000–36,000 bph for mid-capacity lines. Both label round and square plastic, glass and metal containers, need no heat-shrink tunnel because the film does not shrink, and melt glue at 120–160 °C for low glue consumption and clean, wrinkle-free wraps.
An OPP hot melt labeling machine works in five coordinated steps. (1) An infeed screw and starwheel feed bottles into the machine at a stable pitch. (2) A label drum pulls the printed OPP film reel and cuts each wrap-around label to length at dispensing speeds up to 150 m/min. (3) A heated roller melts thermoplastic adhesive at 120–160 °C and applies it only to the leading and trailing edges of each label — not the whole surface — which is why glue consumption stays far below full-surface gluing. (4) The label is wrapped around the rotating bottle and pressed down by brushes or rollers into a seamless band. (5) Label placement is held to ±1mm before bottles discharge to the conveyor. Because OPP film does not shrink, no heat-shrink tunnel is needed — the modular configuration runs this process at up to 58,000 bottles per hour with stepless speed regulation.
OPP roll-fed labeling and self-adhesive (sticker) labeling differ in label format, glue and economics. Roll-fed labels are printed film or paper reels with no pre-applied glue; the machine cuts each label and bonds it with hot melt adhesive applied only to its two ends, so label material is cheap and the process suits high-speed full-wrap decoration — up to 58,000 bottles per hour on the modular platform. Self-adhesive labels are die-cut labels pre-glued on silicone backing paper; the machine peels and presses each one on, which allows complex shapes, transparent no-label-look finishes and front-and-back patch labels, typically at lower speeds. In practice: full-wrap beverage, mineral water and detergent labels favor roll-fed OPP, while shaped front/back and multi-label decoration favors self-adhesive. Lines needing both processes can use the hot melt + self-adhesive dual-mode combination machine instead of two separate labelers.
U-Packer is a labeling machine manufacturer, not a trading company. We design and build OPP roll-fed hot melt labelers, self-adhesive labelers and modular combination machines in our own workshop in Guangzhou, China, and assemble and test every machine there before shipment. When you order, you ship us your own bottles and labels; we run your machine at rated speed — up to 58,000 bottles per hour for the modular hot melt configuration — and send you a factory test video and photo report before it leaves the workshop, which is only possible when the factory and the engineering team are one company. As a direct manufacturer and supplier we quote ex-factory pricing, support worldwide commissioning and spare parts, and configure label stations, bottle handling and line integration to your requirements.
It suits round or square bottles made of plastic, metal and glass, such as 5-gallon water bottles, oil jugs, mineral water bottles, detergent jugs and food packaging bottles, using adhesive-free roll-fed labels such as OPP film, pearl film and composite paper.
Output is 58,000 bottles per hour with ±1mm labeling accuracy and a maximum label dispensing speed of 150 meters per minute; stepless speed regulation adapts to different production rhythms. U-Packer can recommend a configuration based on your needs.
The eco-friendly hot melt adhesive is applied only at the two ends of the label, greatly reducing glue consumption and saving costs compared with full-surface gluing. Labels are non-shrink materials, so printed patterns do not deform after labeling and no heat shrink tunnel is needed, making packaging more attractive and energy-efficient.
It suits labeling with roll-fed OPP, pearl film and composite paper labels in the washing, beverage, mineral water and food industries, especially high-volume lines focused on glue cost and packaging appearance.
Yes. Your actual bottles are part of the order: ship them with your order, plus your labels if you already buy them. Every machine is factory-tested on your own bottles at rated speed before it leaves our Guangzhou workshop — you receive a test video and photo report, you can watch the run, and additional acceptance requirements can be agreed before the test is scheduled.
Pricing is quoted per configuration, starting at ~USD 100,000 and varying with the level of automation and capacity configuration. Share your bottle type and capacity requirements, and U-Packer will provide a specific proposal and quotation.
